Modeling in front of a giant bumblebee hot air balloon and a couple of bites into my chocolate-covered banana. Yum!

Modeling (using the term lightly…please hear the sarcasm) in front of a giant bumblebee hot air balloon and a couple of bites into my chocolate-covered banana. Yum!

We definitely underestimated the ambiance of streets lined with hot air balloons...This is actually a picture of Joe coming to that realization.

This weekend was all about practicing the art of patience. There were a couple of items Joe an I have had our eyes on for a few months but held off making any purchases to see where we stood with spending money after Christmas season. Not only were we good to go on spending money, but we actually came out ahead with some stellar gift cards from our family!! Because of our patience we were able to completely change up the décor of our master bedroom (yes, again—but it really is finished this time) for just $8.00!!

I hope you all saved some money and enjoyed yourselves this past weekend! Tell us about your best strategies to keep your weekend fun and inexpensive!!
